Casey lives in southern California with her husband and two daughters. She received her B.A. in Studio Art from Universtiy of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2001.
She finds her inspiration in organic forms like cherries and lemons juxtaposed alongside man-made objects such as glass and metal.
"I enjoy the reflections and play of light off of each object. It's a wonderful challenge trying to capture the light. I'm always looking for perfect composition and balance. There is a wonderful point which happens when you're about half-way through a painting and it seems as though you are reaching into another world to apply color and light to those objects. It's like magic."
